Rhythm Charts
Introduction
The Rhythm Charts catalog covers all 150+ launch songs across five difficulty tiers (Easy, Normal, Hard, Expert, Master). Each chart entry lists the song title, difficulty, BPM, note density, recommended holomem leader, and best strategy for full combo. Charts unlock as you progress through story chapters and complete achievements; Master charts only appear after clearing Expert with a full combo. Use this section to plan which songs to grind for leaderboard scores and which holomem to assign as leader for each chart type, and pair the recommended-holomem column with the Tier List and Holomem categories for a complete pull-and-build plan that scales from your first chart clear through Master-tier leaderboard chasing and the weekly rhythm milestones.

Core Mechanics
Rhythm charts in hololive Dreams use a falling-note system where notes scroll toward a judgment line; tap, hold, and flick notes must be timed to a per-chart timing window. Difficulty rating (1–15) reflects note density and pattern complexity rather than song tempo. Expert charts unlock after clearing the song on Hard with at least 70% combo; Master charts unlock only after a full-combo clear on Expert. Practice mode lets you slow charts to 0.5x with auto-judgment for learning patterns, and the Jukebox mode plays the song without any chart so you can warm up before a ranked run. Note density and pattern complexity scale independently from BPM, so a slow song can still have a Hard chart if the pattern is dense.
Advantages
Charts provide a structured progression from Easy through Master, with each tier teaching a specific skill — Easy for timing, Normal for hold notes, Hard for flick patterns, Expert for cross-hand, Master for streams. The Create Chart community feature means new songs and patterns keep arriving after launch, extending the leaderboard meta. Practice mode at 0.5x speed lets you learn any pattern before attempting it for score, and the recommended-holomem column on each chart page links into the Tier List so you can plan your build order around the songs you want to grind. Master charts also unlock a unique holomem costume reward for the first full combo, so the time investment pays back in cosmetics as well as leaderboard rank and weekly milestone progress.
Challenges
Master charts are intentionally brutal and may take dozens of attempts for a full combo; do not burn yourself out chasing leaderboard rank on day one. Some event songs are time-limited and missable — check the event schedule before assuming a chart will be available later. The practice mode does not grant score, so it is purely for learning patterns. Leaderboard rewards are time-gated to a 2-week window, so chasing rank on a chart you do not enjoy is rarely worth the gem cost; pair chart grinding with songs you actually like rather than only chasing the highest-reward tracks, and use the recommended-holomem column to align leader assignment with the song genre before each run.

Quick Tips
Use Practice mode at 0.5x speed to learn Expert patterns before attempting them for score — the slow-down preserves timing windows so you build muscle memory without burning stamina on failed runs. Most Expert charts only need 4-6 practice runs to learn the rough pattern, then 2-3 full-speed runs to lock in timing, so a 30-minute practice session will comfortably prepare you for a chart that looked impossible on first attempt, and the recommended-holomem column gives you the right leader for the first clear.
For Master charts, prioritize Perfect judgments over combo length — many high-score runs sacrifice a long combo to chase Perfects on the densest sections, and the score multiplier for Perfects is large enough that the combo bonus does not make up for missing them. This is counterintuitive at first but the leaderboards reward Perfect density, not combo length, so retrain your muscle memory to chase Perfects on the densest sections even if it means breaking the combo for a higher final score.
Pair each chart with the holomem leader whose skill matches the song genre — pop songs favor DPS leaders, ballads favor formation buffers, dance tracks favor crit scalers, and the recommended-holomem column on each chart page already maps the best leader for each song. Switching leader before each chart attempt is a free 5-10% score boost for the same play, so do not run charts with a single favorite leader if the genre matchup is wrong, and the Tier List genre-tag column makes the swap obvious at a glance.
