Introduction
The Controls section covers input layouts and recommended specs for hololive Dreams across PC (Steam), iOS, and Android. PC supports keyboard, mouse, and gamepad input with two recommended control layouts (keyboard-only and gamepad). iOS and Android support touch input with two-finger tap layouts for Hard+ charts. Steam has minimum and recommended specs based on Unreal Engine 5. Use this section to find the right control layout for your device, optimize performance on lower-end hardware, and reduce input lag on touchscreen devices.

Performance Tips
Reduce input lag and boost FPS
Core Mechanics
Each platform supports multiple input methods (keyboard, gamepad, touch) with full remapping in Settings. PC supports keyboard-only, gamepad, and keyboard + mouse hybrid layouts. iOS and Android support single-finger (Easy charts only) and two-finger touch layouts. Input lag is the biggest performance factor on touchscreens; disabling battery saver and closing background apps typically reduces lag by 20–30ms.
Advantages
Multiple input methods mean every player can find a comfortable layout regardless of device. Full button remapping on PC and gamepad lets you optimize your control scheme for cross-hand patterns. The game's controller low-latency mode is one of the better implementations in the rhythm genre.
Challenges
Single-finger touch on mobile is too imprecise for Hard+ charts — you'll need to use two-finger layout for any serious rhythm play. Mac support is limited to Apple Silicon; Intel Macs are not officially supported. Steam Deck performance is acceptable but not optimal; expect 40–50fps on Master charts with the recommended settings.

Quick Tips
Disable battery saver on mobile before rhythm sessions — battery saver throttles touch polling and adds 20–30ms of input lag.
Use a wired controller on PC if possible — wireless controllers add 4–8ms of latency that compounds on Master charts.
Lower chart density on lower-end devices — combo consistency matters more than visual smoothness, and a 30fps target is fine for rhythm play.
